A Headless Ghost Becomes Office Small Talk.

What we have here is an image utilizing some new fonts. The font used by the first two dudes is based on my own handwriting. The robot’s font was made by Marq. I feel a bit more competent using a unique font instead of just sticking with whatever is included with Windows. The font I used for Adventure Dennis worked fine and stuff like the Phone Guys is stupid enough to not merit a decent font, but it always bugged me when making something like Hover Head.

Another plus with this strip is that it is the first time I drew it on paper and then digitally inked using my tablet. On Hover Head I drew it all for the first time with the tablet and it never really looked all that good. If I had cared enough to add a background for this one it would probably be my most professional-looking comic. But hey, it’s just a test run so suck it. I mean, I drew, inked and colored this thing before giving any thought to what it was about, who these characters were or what they were saying. It took hours to think of that dialogue.

Starting next Monday, I think, I plan to make putting up a comic strip a weekly Monday thing. It will hopefully be cool.

I Am Rich

I now have a Visa Platinum Travel card, which I assume means that I am a rich person. Go me. I assure you all that I will use my new found wealth and privilege only for good and probably for buying DVDs and books. Probably.

Hey, I’ve noticed that a lot of the time when I try to type the word “you” I will type the word “toy” which might be because the letters make a similar pattern on a keyboard, but might it not also be because because I see all people who aren’t myself as mere playthings? Interesting.

Hey, I’m totally about to fail at Novel Writing Month. I mean, after all I did say “when” I fail and not “if” I fail in the old post. It is not a good sign that I want to write and totally don’t do it. I can try to lay the blame on how I didn’t care about that story, but the lack of discipline and the short attention span are pretty much the real blame. Also, more legitimately I began to resent the story because it was keeping me from doing a new level of Adventure Dennis or a Hover Head comic. Sigh.

And finally, man, the Super Readers are idiots. And also, what the chunks is with wolves blowing houses down? When and why did someone decide that wolves are good at blowing things over? Honestly?

Content Dammit Content.

So I did up that Hover Head comic strip there as a continuation of my learning to use the hand drawing table thing. I am also learning much about coloring them. Granted Hover Head it about as easy to draw as a superhero could be and my coloring style is quite simplistic as well, but I like it.

Also, I have just posted a story I wrote for Contains2 way back. I will probably continue moving my writings from Contains2 over here, since I’d like to have them online somewhere and the fixing of Contains2 is probably still years away from happening. I began going through “Money, Guns and Mustard” with the intent of fixing it so it was consistently written in one tense, but I just couldn’t decide on whether past or present worked better so I am leaving it as the poorly-written piece of nonsense it was created to be and should be.

All in all I’m working towards making the Book of PDR actually have content on it. A novel idea.
