According to something I wrote on Conains2 several years ago March 25 is International Robot Day. Since nobody has contradicted me since then, I take that as proof that it is true. Sort of like how since nobody official has contradicted that Patrick D Ryall is a nation, I know that that is true.
So that means that Patrick D Ryall will be celebrating International Robot Day in just a few weeks! Who else is excited? I bet you all are.
Haiku!
Behold the Trumpet!
It can bring forth sounds of joy!
But it won’t. It won’t.
I will try to write a story for International Robot Day, I think. We could all use more stories for International Robot Day…
Can’t really think of anything good to say, so instead I will proved status updates on PDR for everyone who follows his life:
Hey, remember how I was fighting a particularly tenacious wart on my left index finger? Well, as of January I have been able to say that I have won that battle. I suspect that I could have had that wart beaten at least six months earlier. I suspect that what I was dousing with Compound W for the last few months was not the wart but just callouses left by the constant warfare. Go figure.
I doubt I ever got around to mentioning it on this site, but another battle I have been waging for a few years was this melody I had a slight memory of but I couldn’t figure out what song it was from. Well, I finally figured it out. It was “You Won’t Dance With Me” by April Wine. Probably the reason I couldn’t find it sooner was that I was certain the song I was looking for was from the 50s. Oh well. I know better now.
Haiku!
You can’t break an egg
Until you tell it some lies.
That’s just how it works.
Final PDR update. I am pretty sure I am a werewolf. Hairy shoulders. Mammal. Sometimes I see the full moon. It all adds up.
And that’s that.
I just finished watching Turtles Forever. I am very pleased that that movie exists. I’m all like OMG Technodrome! OMG Krang! OMG BEBOP!!!!!!! This movie made my day, for sure. Sure, some of the voices were not perfect, but OMG BEBOP!!!!!!! Five out of Six Pieces of PDR Reviewing System Cake.
Haiku!
OMG BEBOP!
Bebop is totally cool.
I love you Bebop.
In other, non-Bebop-related news, I got myself a pig-flu vaccine on Tuesday. So I am now immune to the pig flu, probably. This is practically a super power, practically. Go me.
And even with that super power, now I gotta go to work. Lame.
For me, this has been a weekend of naps. While this is enjoyable on occasion, I hope I don’t make a habit of it. Still, I had me some good naps.
Haiku!
Love the letter T.
Without it, where would we be?
Also, love your legs.
Amid naps I got a new level of Adventure Dennis up, though. So that’s cool. And I see no reason I won’t find some old Contains2 story and put that up later tonight.
Also, I get the impression that Geocities is supposed to be dead by this point, as I spoke of in the past. I still seem to be able to reach the ol’ AWBC, though. The suspense is literally making me wonder when it is going to die for real.
I have just uploaded the latest chapter of Adventure Dennis. It is worth noting that that rounds out my average to one level for every year since I started making Adventure Dennis. That is, of course, pathetic. I am hoping to actually finish the thing off over the next few months, so maybe I will be able to get that average up to 1.5 a year. Hooray!
Haiku!
In these troubled times,
There will come a unique man.
He will eat a moon.
In other news, I have been reading the Iliad and it is taking me FOREVER. I mean, getting through Don Quixote actually took most of a year, I think, so the two months I have been at the Iliad are paltry in comparison, but for the last year I had been working through about a book a week. It might help if I read at home instead of just at free moments at work and on buses and what not, but I have the Internet at home. Productivity just ain’t gonna happen.
Also, ducks should have a species of fish that helps them out. That would be real teamwork.
That’s all.
