Today I managed to see Grindhouse with Wade. That pretty much makes this weekend a success even if I hadn’t done things the previous day that also pleased me. I despise the fact that I must surrender to my job another of my weeks now when things were just getting good.
I have a new goal in life, but it starts with me being a multi-millionaire. From there I can build an arcade with apartments above for those I like to live in rent-free while we all work to make the world a better place. The downside is I need to be a multi-millionaire for that to work. I don’t know how to be one of those.
Anyone wanting to help me start a make-PDR-a-multimillionaire fund can take their money elsewhere though. Help the world. That just cuts out the middleman that I represent in that scenario.
At any rate, I don’t want to go to work tomorrow. I really don’t.
Yesterday Minus One, I got a mere two hours of sleep. It wasn’t as bad as all that, though. I got by. But then yesterday when I did sleep, I slept a lot. Easily ten hours in total, if not all in a row. But since then I haven’t slept and I have to be at work in about an hour. I expect I’ll end up sleeping my whole tomorrow away. Not cool.
I guess I don’t have much more to say. At least nothing I can coherently put together right now. I’ll try again next time I am home and awake.
Over the weekend I found out that it’s possible to set DVD players so they can play DVDs regardless of the Region-type. I always thought it was a technical limitation that kept us from watching European DVDs. Apparently it’s just companies trying to screw us over.
Anyhow, now I’ve got Spaced on DVD after watching not-quite-legal versions for so long.
In other news we have snow here now. I was quite liking not having it. And of course this city doesn’t know how to drive in the snow anymore, so I have to leave early for work. Winter blows for another reason today.
With my posting habits, this one may be my last of this year. I’ll hope not, but I have to admit, it’s totally likely. In that case:
Haiku!
BAM! You got punched, bitch!
I hope you totally cry!
That’s what you get! BITCH!
I’m going to have three days off this week. In a freakin’ row. Awesome. Perhaps this is sad compared to some people’s Christmas holidays (especially all those unholy undeserving uncool little “children” people.), but hey, I’m pleased with having three days off. In a row.
And I don’t want to say much about the new year just yet, but this is one thing I must add:
Ape Slave Training Manual.
In other news, I’m up well past my bed time, and I’m likely to regret it. That’s not as cool.
I recently bought the book Jennifer Government. Just now I was laying in bed reading and I came across a line which said that in the capitalistopia in which this book is set, the occupation of being a government agent has “the highest death rate of any occupation except machine operators.”
Machine operator is, of course, my job occupation. Hooray!
In other (local) news, the Halifax School Board apparently bickered and fought so much that the education minister just fired the lot of them. I don’t know or care much about the actual story behind it all, but it amuses me on the principle of firing a bunch of bickering ninnies.
In me complaining news, I’ve been sleeping a lot lately and it has been causing me to get even less done than I usually do. Which sucks because I don’t do much any more. In fact, it’s been about a month since I’ve done laundry. And the fact I’ve bought some new clothes during that month does not make up for the fact that it’s still about a month without doing laundry.
Also, I recently worked the word “ninnies” into a sentence.
I’m pretty sure there’s a holiday of some kind coming up. Hmmm. I’ll have to look into that one.
And finally, please donate money to trees. They need it more than you do. Especially the larch.
