Important Date: December 18, 2012: V-Day

I need to make a note of the date here today. It’s an important one. Today, I vomited. I don’t remember the last time I vomited. It was certainly over a decade ago, quite a decent streak, but I didn’t have the date. Now I do. This time I can track how long it is between upchucks.

As soon as I woke up today I was feeling poorly. I immediately noticed a headache so bad I was considering going downstairs to the shops to get some of those pills that they have. I haven’t taken pills for a headache since high school, but this was a real problem. I didn’t make it downstairs. In the washroom it became clear to me that I was going to throw up. And I did. It wasn’t much, but it was vomit for sure. For what it’s worth, I felt better after for what that’s worth. The headache has stuck around, but at a much less immobilizing level.

I do hope my next non-vomit streak is even longer than the last one. It turns out that vomiting is a pretty unpleasant experience. I’m not a fan of it. And that’s… the PDR perspective!

Down With A Sickness

Well, I think I’m getting a cold. I knew it! I knew I shouldn’t be among these diseased children. Curse them all! Anyway, I guess I’m lucky in that I have time to sleep tonight. Hopefully that will help.

In other news, it appears that the program we used to put my Twitter posts onto the site went and changed. Doesn’t seem to work anymore. It was a nice idea while it lasted.

So now I’m gonna lay down. Rest my eyes. That sort of thing.

This Is A Post On My Website

I thought going back to school might give me more to write about on this here site o’ mine, and that is probably correct, but I kinda feel like I have less time to spend saying it. Oh well, let us see if I can’t bang out a post before I have to go to work…

I’ve got homework and tests and stuff now. This is the stuff I hate about school. I love being there and learning stuff. I could happily be sitting in lectures and such all day, but the second I have to start proving to them that I am learning, I start to take umbrage. I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before on the site, but I really find that the amount of time I have to spend proving to them that I am learning cuts into the actual amount of learning I do. It’s annoying. I will try, but I won’t enjoy it.

Anyway, something I noticed: Kids these days are sick. Seriously, I don’t know if it is flu season or what, but it seems like the professors can’t get through two sentences in a row without coughing, sniffling, sneezing, or some other sound of illness. Maybe it was like this when I was a student too. Maybe it is always like this in a group of people and I am only noticing now because of how diligent I have managed to avoid groups of people for my adult life. But I can’t sit in these lectures without a constant awareness of how sickly the populace surrounding me apparently is. If I get sick this year I am blaming all these children.

Haiku!

His mother told him
“You should wear your tuxedo.”
So he wore that shit!

Oh hey, I also got my Learner’s Permit thing for learning to drive cars and stuff. It’s been almost half my life since the last time I drove a car, so I don’t know what to expect of me really, but hopefully I’ll learn to drive. Not because I have any actual desire to learn to drive, but because I think it is a thing I will need to know soon. Stupid society always pushing its stuff in my face. Luckily I will basically never be able to afford a car, so I don’t have to worry about that just yet.

Ear Pain Again

Argh. My ear hurts again. This makes for the third such earache in as many years. Last time, it was the right ear. Now we’re the left ear this time, which is where we were two times ago. I don’t even get why it is happening. It felt fine as I was trying to get to sleep, but upon waking up, there it was, painfulness in the ear when I swallow or, for whatever reason, happen to press on my ear. And this time it doesn’t feel like there’s a big mass of pressure built up in the ear fluid or anything. This time it is just the painfulness. This leads me to believe that this is technically a different problem than the last two times, but the end result, the ear pain, remains intact. I can’t help but wonder if I didn’t, in my sleep, somehow scratch the inside of my ear. And if I did that, sleeptimes-PDR needs to wise up.

Why is it that I could have a pain in my hand or foot or something and not mind all that much, but once it is in one of my ears it occupies my every waking thought? Ear canals. More trouble than they’re worth? Someone needs to look into this.

Also, my spellcheck tells me that painfulness is a legitimate word. Sounds pretty clumsy to me. There are definitely easier ways to phrase a sentence than to use the word painfulness. But that is what makes English so fun.

It’s Very Ear-itating!

I’ve an ear ache/infections/something in my right ear and it is driving me nuts. Last time I have to put up with this nonsense it was in my left ear. So at least it is mixing it up.

To be fair, I remember it being much more painful last time. I don’t know if it actually was or if my memory has just colored that event as being worse than it was, but I’m glad it isn’t as bad as I remember. Still bugs me, though.

But now I am getting to work on some comics for Monday, so my ear is pretty unnecessary just now anyway.
