In the grand tradition of sucking, I’m going to have to start going to work two hours earlier every day next week. I really don’t like my job, y’know.
Now, I really want to start writing stuff to prevent this site from being another mopey guy’s personal journal, but I guess I’m not going to do that today.
And as for my new computer, I still haven’t done anything more to try to get it together. I guess I should do that tomorrow or on the weekend, since I won’t have as much time next week and beyond…
So, I guess some of the apartments in my building have bed bugs. Marq and I don’t have bed bugs, but some others do. And because of that some guys are coming tomorrow to spray stuff around and we have to take all of our stuff off of our shelves and put all our clothes in bags or something. It all sounds pretty retareded. I’m going to blame Marq.
Okay, now that I have a cd with the Windows crap I need to install onto my new computer, I can confirm that it just isn’t reading what’s in my CD Rom at all. I’m pretty sure I need a different IDE cable, whatever the heck that is. Seriously, I’ve had a new computer for like a month and ain’t got it working yet. Technology is an idiot.
Today is Canada Day. As I have declared myself an independent nation (though still not officially recognized) you’d think that this holiday wouldn’t affect me much. But instead, I get to go to work a full three hours later than usual tonight. Usually, I’d be there now, even. Good times.
I feel like today would have been a good time for writing. But I squandered it for that sake. Instead I read and worked on my computer a little more. On that front, I’ve progressed again. I’ve got the computer so that it turns on and works with the mouse and keyboard and speakers and all that. Except the CD-Rom, which it appears not to know exists. I can only assume I’ve still got some rewiring to do. It won’t be long now, though.
Thanks to some guy at the video store I have learned that the Internet has given birth to a trailer for a fictional Leprechaun vs. Wishmaster movie. I like the Internet for things like that.
Meanwhile, I demand a banshee-themed horror movie. C’mon. Then, after a few of thise we can have Banshee versus Frankenstein, why not?
Progress has been made on the new computer I’m putting together. It’s not done, but still… progress.
Today, I made some cookies. They’re the first thing I’ve baked on the stove here with the exception of play dough. And even though I apparently don’t have a measuring cup, using a Jell-o mold shaped like a frog seems to have done the trick well enough.
Haiku!
Go Mario Go!
Jump up and down on that guy!
Yeah! That’ll show him!
Still haven’t put my computer together. Haven’t even tried that much. But I have two days off this week (starting after tonight’s shift) so I shall give it another go.
