I, Patrick D Ryall, do declare that I am an independent nation governed only by myself and those principles I hold dear.

PDR believes that nations are noted for the persons within them and that arbitrary land barriers should not regulate them.

This was first declared on Contains2 Saturday 25 October 2003 at 12:41 AM:

“Just so you all know… I am now officially declaring myself an independent nation. I am now the nation of Patrick D Ryall. I’ll need to get some embassies built up in other countries though, so that if terrorists want to attack me they can attack the embassies instead. And just so you know, I’m a democracy. Population: PDR. Primary Import: Cereal. Primary Export: “Witty” Repartee.”

To date, nobody seems to have either accepted or challenged the declaration, so it still stands.
