Three Blades!

Okay, so, I just shaved for the first time in my life with one of those razors that has more blades (three, to be specific) and I have to say, I’m sold. It worked much better than I always assumed it would. And I actually have a five-bladed one that has been sitting in my closet for a long time that I intend to bust out when the three-blader gives up the ghost many moons from now. I thought that was important enough to be on the Internet, so I put it there.

Anyway, if anyone is designing a ten-bladed razor and they need a spokesperson, let PDR know, and he’ll do the job with aplomb. Offer only valid for this week, because after that, I’ll probably have lost interest.

  1. And I actually have a five-bladed one that has been sitting in my closet for a long time that I intend to bust out when the three-blader gives up the ghost many moons from now.

Well, I find this fascinating. Being a three-blader myself, I cannot foresee me switching anytime in the next year or two, because I’ve got a backlog of a TON of blades (on account of that fact that I just don’t change the blade very often). But what I find interesting is this: I did not know there was any such “five-blade” model. I remember when the ads were coming out for the TWO-blade razors, and how cool that seemed to be (it was before I actually needed to shave, so I wasn’t certain, of course), and then there was the THREE-blader – and I have actually wondered at times how far this is going to go. Will we see ten-blade razors? Twelve?

    • I’m sure I’ve seen an article on the Onion parodying the whole Many-Bladed-Razor thing and I doubt I could do a better job of it. In any case, whenever I get around to busting out the five-blader, you can be sure I’ll put my opinions on here.
