May Thirtieth Comics

I’m too busy for making new comics this week, so I’ve only got the Phone Guys to fall back on, but I wasn’t willing to let that be all there was, so I invested five minutes and risked my sanity by digging up something from the Contains2 archive. I believe this used to be on a secret page, but now it is here for all to see:

And here’s that Phone Guys

The Contains2 of… Confusion?

So, I pulled another bit of writing out of the Contains2 archives. War, right? Good times.

But speaking of Contains2, remember last time I looked to see what was going on with our lost Contains2 domain? Well looking again now we find something even stranger:

But although I am offended by them not being the real Contains2, I do love that picture of the bored kid studying or something in the corner. Truly that is the effect that Contains2 had on people.

Or maybe that is the old Contains2 translated into Non-Englishese! That’s probably it. Probably.

And then the chopper lands on the tank.

So this weekend I got a new story up and an old story up. The latter, I’m pretty sure, even predated Contains2. I have no idea why it was not already on this site. The former was based entirely around the title, which I thought up at work one time.

Haiku!

Action hero man
shoots the gas tank just two times.
The chopper explodes.

So…. Frogs are pretty cool… so there’s that…

I think that’s it from me today…

03/21/11 Comics

That right there is the first page of Starship Renewal, a twelve page comic I’ve done (Click on it or that link there for the whole story). Back when Contains2 had Flash to work with I made a script for a brief cartoon I wanted to do, but then it never got made. When I was organizing my files last month I found the script and turned it into that story. One less untold tale taking up space in my head now.

And somehow I also got two pages of the Secret Government Robots story done as well:

And then Phone Guys:

Patrick D Ryall, Playwright

So, I just put up the play I wrote. The Winds of Time Wound All. As I recall, I wrote this while Kiiip was studying one time just as a thing to do to kill time. Then gave it to him, only to find it had been put up on Contains2 without me even knowing. That’s how I accidentally became a playwright. And now I’ve brought it back to life here. Shakespeare is quaking in his fluffy hot pink boots now because he knows I’ll be stealing his thunder.

It would be awesome to see this play actually performed just because the bulk of it would be the character Bill awkwardly waiting for five minutes to get hit by a train. I doubt any other play has ever done that.

Haiku!

Don’t expect no wounds
’cause the winds of time wound all.
And that includes you.

Why is it spelled “playwright?” Shouldn’t it be “playwrite” if not “playwriter” or even more logically “play writer”? Language, man. It’s weird.
